Hi

I bought a gorgeous 1986 T25 last summer, and need to get my van MOT'd and have any faults lovingly (and cheaply!)  repaired. (by then end of Feb - whoops - i forgot!!) Any suggestions in and around Swindon/Highworth area?

Also - can I come along to the next meet? even though I am a T25 not a T2??

Cheers

Happybean

Hello.

I'm not from the area, but I can safely say that you should be welcome with your T25 (a.k.a. Wedge).  Or a Split, Bay, or any other VW transporter.  They are all type 2's!

All the best with your MOT.

Try a cheeky post to Ian Grice.  He is half of the membership team, and he lives in Swindon.  You can find a link to his email address on the Committee page of this website under "Club Info".  He might know of a good local garage.

Hi Happybean,

Welcome! Of course you would be more than welcome at the next meet. It's a really nice group & there's a real variety of vehicles.

I can recomend a garage in Cricklade who have done work for me. They are a vw specialist but do pretty much anything you want.

Armstrongs 01793 752800. They are a family run business & really friendly. Hope this helps!

See you at the next meet!

Hi

Thanks for recommendation. I have also had a couple of VW people recommend Alan Watkins in Rodbourne Cheney, so I may try them first as they are easier to get to!

See you all at the next meet - assuming my van passes the MOT!

Cheers
