An excellent turn out this Sunday - 11 vans and beetles.  'Welcome' to the new people who came and 'well done in remembering' to the rest of us.  The February meeting will be on 22nd at 10:30 and it would be great to see anyone interested in VWs from the area.  As the season is opening we will be trying to get some ideas from people about what we can do in future months - some talk of a cruise/picnic being organised at some time was floating around already.

We also, perhaps, should try to think up a name?

Best Wishes

Ian

Sunday Morning, a good turnout despite the cold morning.

Six Bay's, two splitties and two beetles and it was only January

Hi Yogi

Good suggestions for names.  Yes the Blunsdon stadium is still there - used for dog racing and speedway now, not much banger racing.  The bi-pass is fully open now, with no speed restrictioins in either directions (well that was true on 1st Feb).  Obviously it is 70 limit, but they have taken away the 40 limit that seemed to be in place long after any workmen had gone on to the next project.

Hello everyone,

It was great to meet everybody last month (we were in the pale green/ white splitty)

We have been trying to rack our brains for club names (trying to get railway refs in too!!) & trying to be original.

1# The old Buffers VW club

2# Off the rails VW club

3# Brunels' Bugs & Busses

4# Volkswagen express club

See you all in March, we're at Dubfreeze for the next meet (spending more money on things we don't need!!)

Debbie & Paul

Hi Ambubird

Good suggestions for names!  I think it would be good to get a railway link in there somewhere too.

See you at Dubfreeze - never been before.

Are there lots of traders there?

Ian

Hi Ian,

We've never done Dubfreeze before either (this time last year I'd never dreamed I'd be driving around in a splitty & constantly skint!!)

There's loads of stalls apparently, it'll just be good to have a wonder around & have a day out. We're probably not take the van as there's too much salt on the road, don't want it to disintergrate before we get there!!

Maybe see you there?

Debbie
