Check all fuel lines and connections for any leaks and check your heat exchangers and all heater pipes for any splits etc. that might carry petrol fumes through them up to the cab.

I had fuel smells when first got my Bay, I took out fuel filler cap gasket and made new one with a cork tile !! then refitted with slightly bigger (fatter not longer) self tapping screws, this stopped fumes rising  the short distance from filler to air inlet on rear quarter.

I too have exhaust smells now but think this is loose exhaust joint and or heat exchanger leak, will investigate soon.

Its also worth checking the panel above engine area is not peppered with lots of holes from various projects, this can allow normal operating fumes in !! Keep us posted.

Thanks for your help. Think ive sorted it. one of the exhaust brackets was loose allowing fumes to get into the engine bay. new jubilee clip and all is good!!
