It went bang

I thought it was going to be a nice day yesterday so decided to take the camper for a run to work and it's possibly the last run before a complete rebuild over winter (I will keep you posted on the progress of this), anyway normal traffic on the 406 around London - gridlocked when I left work at 5.30. Two hours later I had traveled about 5 miles and it was pouring with rain, anyway got to the Dartford crossing and on pulling away from the toll booths the camper sounded strange and then bang, a plug had blown out of the head. Free recovery to a site in the direction I had just come from - now 8.00pm. AA contacted and a local firm arrived - lifted engine cover for him and explaind the problem with his answer nothing I can do so will pass it back to the AA (He never even looked or tried putting a plug in) Time 9.30 and soaked to the skin.  10.15pm the AA truck arrived and I was taken home arrived 11.15pm so what a day.  Did Friday 13th come a day early??

1st update:

Engine was ok it seems the plug had just come loose for some reason? Anyway Iv gutted the interior completely and Iv got a tin top today so that the pop up can be removed. Next is to take it back to bare metal to see what work needs doing there.
