hey my 1973 camper is giving me a little problem only bought it 2 weeks ago but last week it lost power and is popping and banging hard to keep at idle. ive checked points and timing and replaced spark plugs. drained tank to find alot of water and muck. cleaned tank and no better. when first started it runs fine until cold start comes off.  i started van yesterday and tried to make it rev out and after a while it was running lovely but when i started it today it was bad again. iwhich i think would ruleout comression being low.??  do i need to be using lead subsitute in this van? could that be an issue? any 1 come across this problem before and ideas would be greatly app. regards david
